"The Vampire Diaries" is currently airing on Channel 6 in Tempe. On Sunday, Feb. 24, Hypable shared new comments made by Julie Plec about the series. Elena has gone through a number of changes in season four. Becoming a vampire changed things for her, and now the loss of her brother will have a larger impact on her. The shutting off of her humanity will also have an impact on her romantic life. She is still between Stefan and Damon. However, fans can expect more answers on her real feelings for Damon and Stefan on the next episodes. Plec revealed the following, according to Hypable:
"What is their dynamic going to be moving forward when she’s not driven by a love for him necessarily? A lot of questions come up and get answered in the next couple episodes."
Plec was also asked if fans can expect to see more deaths on this season, and she played coy on that front. However, she did reveal the following:
"I definitely will try not to shatter everyone’s souls as deeply as what they went through [with Jeremy]."
Elena will not become like Katherine, but fans will not see the same Elena they have seen on the show over the last four seasons again. Katherine and Elena are very different people, and at her core Elena will remain the same person. She will be different at the same time though.
