"The Vampire Diaries" is currently airing on Channel 6 in Tempe. On Sunday, Feb. 3, CarterMatt shared the latest comments made by Torrey DeVitto about working on the series. New photos of Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have also been released by Getty Images. Torrey Devitto joined "The Vampire Diaries" on CW during season three as Meredith Fell, but she has not been seen much on this season. The actress was cast in a new role on "Army Wives" on Lifetime, and she has been busy filming for that series.
She will appear on the CW series in an upcoming episode though. The actress teased that she worked on the series for the episode set to air on Feb. 21. For the episode, Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, will go to Meredith for help. Wesley and DeVitto are married off-screen. DeVitto said the following about working on the series, according to CarterMatt:
"I always have so much fun going on that show … I’ve known the whole cast for a very long time now, and they’re always so welcoming and sweet. Unfortunately — or, actually, fortunately — I had to start my 'Army Wives' role, so I was only on the set for one day, to finish up the episode."
DeVitto also has a recurring role on "Pretty Little Liars" on ABC Family. As for the new photos, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev attended events in New Orleans for Super Bowl Weekend. One of those events was the Celebrity Beach Bowl game for DirecTV, and Digital Spy reported that a photo tweeted by Ian Somerhalder during the event went viral. The photo included a photo bomb by "How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris. That moment is shown in the slide show.

"The Vampire Diaries" will continue to air on Channel 6 in Tempe on Thursday nights.
