“The Vampire Diaries” might be on hiatus until March 14, but that doesn’t mean fans have to go through total withdrawal. On Thursday, The CW released the first sneak preview photos for the next two upcoming episodes.
“Bring It On,” which will air on March 14, finds Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) concerned about Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) new outlook on life now that her humanity has been turned off. Caroline (Candice Accola) is horrified when she learns the real reason Elena decides to rejoin the cheerleading squad and no one is happy when a bored Elena throws a wild party.
Elsewhere in the episode, Damon and Rebekah (Claire Holt) continue their search for the elusive cure while Klaus (Joseph Morgan) turns to Hayley (guest star Phoebe Tonkin) to get information and ends up making an unexpected discovery.
"The Vampire Diaries" Photo Sneak Peek: "Bring It On" and "Because of the Night"
On March 21, “Because the Night” features a flashback to Damon’s life in the 70s. He partied hard in the underground club scene and spent some time with Stefan’s best friend Lexi (guest star Arielle Kebbel). Flashbacks always tie into what’s going on in present day and this episode features Damon taking Elena to New York City. Rebekah shows up as well and finds herself impressed with Elena’s secret plan.
Back in Mystic Falls, Stefan and Caroline try to convince Klaus that it would be beneficial to him to help them track Silas down. Meanwhile, Bonnie (Kat Graham) continues to struggle with reality.
“The Vampire Diaries” returns on March 14 at 7 p.m. CST on The CW.
