March 25, 2011 - Nina Dobrev and Candice Accola of The Vampire Diaries give new hints about the show on a new promotional video and photo shoot with TV Guide.
Nina and Candice talk about their characters, Elena and Caroline respectively, and give some hints to this season's key plot points.
"The news this season is why Elena is so important," Candice explained, "Her past is a love triangle between Stefan (Paul Wesley), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and the history with Katherine."

Then, Nina spoke about the challenges of playing two characters, Elena and Katherine, and said how she hardly sleeps lately, but she loves doing the work.
Candice also said that as time goes, another big challenge will be for the actors to not look older.
"I think the biggest challenge is gonna be not aging," Candice joked, "We're pretty good right now.... But, I would love to be part of the show as long as Caroline is part of it."

The two stars also talked about how much fun working on the set is, especially with fellow funny actors such as David Anders (Uncle John) and Matt Davis (Alaric Saltzman).
