“Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerholder has his eyes on another beautiful girl. Girlfriend and fellow “Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev may need to watch her back because Ian’s been spotted checking out Internet sensation Grumpy Cat (real name: Tardar Sauce) at the SWSX festival in Austin, Texas according to his Facebook on March 12.
Somerholder uploaded the photo to his Facebook and his Instagram the photo of the adorable Grumpy Cat. Facebook holds the caption “new friend, The Grumpy Cat” while Instagram holds the caption “me and my new love…” Should Nina be worried?
E! News Online caught up with Somerholder at the SWSX festival and asked him about his new love interest. “That’s my new love and she’s a sweetie pie with beautiful eyes, I might add,” Ian told Marc Malkin, reporter for E!.
Grumpy Cat’s real name is Tardar Sauce; and eleven month-old mixed kitty that became a viral meme phenomenon after her owners started posting funny pictures of her on Reddit. Her constant pout and grumpy demeanor made it easy for folks to become attached. Her owners assured fans on the official Grumpy Cat website and Facebook page she is perfectly happy and healthy. The furry feline does suffer from feline dwarfism and her back legs are a bit different which is why she sits oddly in some photos. However, she was not bred to be anything, so vets are not sure why she turned out this way, her parents are domestic cats.
Ian couldn’t believe how popular Grumpy Cat had become, “ There was a line of people lined up around the block to take pictures of this cat and she was just chilling. She’s sweet as pumpkin pie.” The actor was completely smitten with the popular cat ending his conversation with, “Grumpy Cat, I miss you. Come back home to daddy.”
