"The Vampire Diaries" is currently airing on Channel 6 in Tempe. On Friday, March 1, Screen Spy shared the first photos released for "The Vampire Diaries" episode 4.16 titled "Bring It On" and episode 4.17 titled "Because the Night." These new photos for "The Vampire Diaries" reveal the changes in Elena that are coming on the series. She has shut off her humanity since Jeremy's death, and there are big things happening to her. In episode 4.17, Elena will debut a new look, and that is shown in the photos. The new look will come during her trip to New York City with Damon. That trip was teased in previously released spoilers. The new photos also show the return of Lexi. According to E! Online, she will appear in a flashback to the 1970s with Damon.
There is more ahead on this series including one last look at Tyler before the end of season four. Julie Plec said the following about his appearance and the future of his character, according to Spoilers Guide:
"Tyler had to leave in the same way Katherine had to leave. When Klaus puts his mark on you, you’re pretty f—ed. So we do not have any plans to bring him back until there is a resolution to his Klaus problem and with Katherine it took her out for two years. Tyler does appear in one episode [this season], but it’s not his 'return.'"
Tyler's being gone will allow things to happen between Caroline and Klaus. According to previously released spoilers, the two will have a big episode in episode 18.
