'Vampire Academy' movie release moved up to February 7th

Fans of Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series will be excited to learn that the upcoming movie adaptation will hit theaters one week earlier than originally planned.

Vampire Academy will now be released on February 7th (originally set for February 14th). A new graphic released by the studio declares, "V-Day sucks. We're moving to February 7th."

To celebrate the new release date, The Weinstein Company also shared a new clip from the film. Watch it in the left-hand sidebar!

Vampire Academy stars Zoey Deutch as Rose Hathaway, the sworn protector of vampire princess Lissa Dragomir (Lucy Fry).
