Although winter visitors seem to flock to Phoenix in the spring, the same can’t be said for classic rock acts. For whatever reason, most groups prefer to hit the Phoenix area in the heat of the summer rather than the cool of the spring. But a few artists have discovered what we locals know, that Phoenix in springtime isn’t so bad after all. Here is what is scheduled so far.

February 13, 2013 7:30 p.m. JACKSON BROWNE at the Orpheum Theater in Phoenix. Tickets on sale through ticketmaster.com and range from $67.80 -$112.85 This pre Valentine’s Day treat currently shows as being sold out but some tickets may become available as show time approaches.
March 14, 2013 7:30 p.m. ERIC CLAPTON with THE WALLFLOWERS at the US Airways Center. Slowhand starts his brief 2013 North American tour in Phoenix and as an added bonus The Wallflowers entertain as well. Tickets currently on sale through ticketmaster.com and range from $45.25-$121.25 plus fees.
April 12, 2013 9:00 p.m. THE DOOBIE BROTHERS at the HandleBar Saloon Tent at WestWorld in Scottsdale. Part of the concert series at The Arizona Bike Week celebration. Tickets not yet on sale but check The Arizona Bike Week official website for details.
April 20, 2013 2:00 p.m. THE BEACH BOYS at the Encanterra Country Club, San Tan Valley. The folks that put on the Good Life Festival always do a bang up job if food, beer and wine tasting is your thing. Headlining the entertainment for the day is the Beach Boys. This isn’t the full version of the Beach Boys that toured in 2012, but Mike Love and Bruce Johnston will help you relive your summers past.
