Bicycle lovers take note:

The time has finally arrived for serious discussion about the design of the Vine Trail - the 47 mile stretch of cycling path that, when completed, will stretch from Vallejo's Ferry Terminal to the town of Calistoga. (This Trail will be a subset of the Bay Trail that will eventually consist of a 500-mile continuous corridor around the San Francisco Bay , passing through almost 50 cities and nine counties,)

The Solano Transportation Authority (STA) and City of Vallejo are seeking public input as they consider the preferred trail routes between existing trails in American Canyon and existing trails along White Slough and the Vallejo Waterfront. Three public workshops have been scheduled so that Vallejoans can learn more about their feasibility study

The first of these meetings is scheduled for Monday, May 12, 6-8pm at 375 G Street on Mare Island. The second meeting will be held on Saturday June 28, 10am – 4pm (A walking and cycling field review of the alternative routes, with a tour of the northern options starting at 10 AM and the southern alternatives at 1 PM.)

The third meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 6 – 8pm: (location TBD) when the preliminary study recommendations will be discussed.
