Valkyria Chronicles is one of the best exclusive games on the Playstation 3. For that reason, many fans were upset to learn that Valkyria Chronicles II is only coming to the PSP. Sega isn’t completely shutting down the door to another Valkyria Chronicles game for the Playstation 3 just yet, however.
Aaron Webber, the Assistant Community Manager for Sega of America, responded with the following statement on the European Playstation.Blog when a fan showed disdain for Valkyria Chronicles II being exclusive to the PSP:
“So far it seems like most of the fans are really just happy to see the series continue – and, if VCII sells well, it means a much greater chance that the series can pick up again back on a larger console, like the PS3.”
So, oddly enough, a new Valkyria Chronicles game on the Playstation 3 could depend on the sales of Valkyria Chronicles II for the PSP. The handheld sequel will be released in Europe and North America during the summer of 2010.

Well Aaron is wrong, fans are NOT mostly happy to be getting a sequel, not just because it's on PSP, but because it's a retarded high school game with a tsundere valkyria who has a crush on the main character.
and it does NOT have the staff of VC1 working on it, some of them maybe, but the key man behind Valkyria, Ryutaro Nonaka is nowhere to be seen
how does this make sense??? why should the next PS3 VC depend on how well PSP VC sales??? they r different system. for one i'm not buying VC2 since it's on PSP
that's just dumb, if you want a sequel to a game on your system you have to buy the sequel on an entirely different platform? how utterly retarded a concept that is.
sega is out of touch, I'll never own a psp. I can't even stand my ds, all its good for is tetris. put it on a console sega or don't bother.
I loved VC. Was a fun fun game to play, hope they make a number 2. Would be a must-buy...
On PS3 this would be a huge must-buy for me. On PSP... no buy.
They could fund an entire new PS3 version of Valkyria Chronicles if they would have made more copies of the original, or release another run of them. The game is impossible to find anywhere (Even in a city as big as Vancouver) and everyone I talk to wants to get a copy of it but cannot find it. I finally found one and it's one of my favorite games of all time.
That's one thing I never understood. The good games are so hard to find, yet the crappy ones are flooding the stores. Why such the limited runs, and discontinued 2 months after release? Especially for a company with as many resources as SEGA?

they screwed this all up when they made it for the PSP. ive rented the first game once and bought it twice. lookin for it again now. my fault for sellin it in the first place
