The latest "Dancing with the Stars" elimination was that of 74-year-old actress Valerie Harper, but she wanted no-one to be sad for her. The CSMonitor reported on Oct. 8, 2013, that she has loved her time on the show and sees herself as "so blessed."
"I have a fabulous life," Valerie said, as her pro partner Tristan MacManus stood by her side.
"I mean there have been rough times and so forth and you know. Stuff hasn't gone perfectly, but I'm so blessed in so many ways that I would be so petty to be saying the world's not going the way I want it to," she continued.
Harper is the latest elimination from the seventeenth season of "Dancing with the Stars," but she never once let it take the smile from her face. She put on her dancing shoes to compete as she is in the middle of battling terminal cancer, but she never let it hinder her.
Valerie Harper may see her elimination as even more of a blessing though as it appeared to come at just the right time for her body.
"I was glad to be here for four dances, and my knees are killing me," she explained. "They're not injured but they could get there... this is a blessing in disguise, as my mom had taught me."
When asked who she would be rooting for now that she was eliminated, Harper found it hard to pick one person. She didn't single out anyone and simply said that the winner of "Dancing with the Stars" would simply be "the one who's supposed to be the winner!"
