Valentines Day treats - Hearts-shaped strawberry white chocolate fudge


This Homemade Valentines candy recipe is a great budget Valentine gift idea.

 

Valentines Day treat recipes are the best part of Valentines Day.  What better way to show someone you love them then by putting a little sweet treat in your Valentines gift basket.  Cheap Valentines Day presents and treats don't have to be, "cheap", they can be creative, homemade and thrifty, making them much more exciting than anything in the world.

This Valentine Day treat recipes easy, delicious and homemade.  It will also yield enough of fill two treat boxes, depending on how thick you make your fudge.

Strawberry White Chocolate Fudge

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons strawberry or vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring

 

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the sugar, salt, evaporated milk, and butter, stirring until the sugar melts.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and boil, stirring constantly, for five minutes.
  3. After five minutes, remove from the heat and stir in the marshmallows, white chocolate chips, and strawberry extract.
  4. Pour it into an 8x8 pan that has been lined with aluminum foil or sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. (Spray will not affect taste of fudge at all).
  5. Sprinkle drops of red food coloring over the top, and stir once or twice, creating red swirls, or stir it for a beautiful pink color. Place in the refrigerator to set the fudge for at least one hour.
  6. Make homemade Chocolate Truffles and homemade Pistachio Truffles to accompany the Strawberry White Chocolate Fudge Hearts.

    Sounds much better than the heart shaped boxes containing the gamble chocolate. Or the heart shaped tums candies that taste like antacid. Your recipes sound so much better.
