Valentines Day blingy and Grinchy gadgets

*WARNING* Do not attempt the Blendtec stunt/s depicted in the YouTube video at home - or anywhere.  If you are sick of Valentine's Day you may get a laugh out of Tom Dickson's "Will It Blend?" videos.  Especially those focused on red roses and "diamonds".  They could not afford the approximately $25 Million needed to blend test real diamonds and tried cubic zirconia instead.  This column wonders if those are real cubic zirconia.  Again, do not attempt these blender stunts at home.  They will likely land you in the doghouse - or the emergency room.

Was that really "Cupid Smoke" as Tom called it or glass or plastic?  He should have donned a high pressure respirator.  In a somewhat-related Blendtec video Tom and crew try out an "iPhone 4".  The gadget is delivered in a limousine by a sinister looking "Steve Jobs" look-alike.  Tom proceeds to blend test the gadget and is immediately tackled by the "Apple Task Force".  Tom escapes miraculously and blends the "iPhone" to fine dust.  Again - don't try this at home - especially with your sweetheart's iPhone on this special day.

Another blingy gadget that will get you thrown to the floor is the diamond vacuum cleaner.  No, it's not actually diamond-covered - it's the fine Kirby Diamond edition vacuum cleaner.  Well at least it appears to have a diamond pattern on it (video).   Another blingy gadget for your love dove is very good as it should also give soothing music if he/she throws a tantrum.  These would be the Monster Diamond Tears headphones.  They promise to have a very realistic diamond cover (of a large headband shape) with noise-cancellation properties - which might come in handy for that tantrum just mentioned.  (See the CES 2012 German video here.)

Good for you if you can afford to purchase the gold iPhone accessories depicted or those found in this search string.  If not, the next best thing might be a luxury fashion iPad cover case from Nieman Marcus.  These might be close to affordable for say a...certain GOP presidential candidate.  The gold Gucci iPad case is certainly desirable for you or your love.  Failing that, you can apply flat back Swarovski crystals to your gadget gift of love (video link here).  But you - and this column posting - are probably out of time.
