The Valentine holiday is just around the corner, and many couples have still not decided on that special place to celebrate this romantic holiday. Chattanooga has a variety of restaurants to fit the romantic need for these sweethearts. A few of the popular places include 212 Market Street, Broad Street Grille, Porter’s Steakhouse and St. John’s all located in beautiful downtown Chattanooga. Many couples, though, do not want to battle traffic, tourists and parking to venture downtown. Below are a few out-of the-way restaurants that have fantastic Valentine’s specials.
Country Place Restaurant is offering a down-home Valentine’s Day rib-eye special for two. The Valentine’s Sweetheart’s Special consists of a rib-eye steak and two delectable sides for each person along with sharable dessert for only $24.95. This special will be available until February 19, 2012. Country Place is located at 7320 Shallowford Road and is open from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Saturday. The Palms at Hamilton is featuring a unique Valentine’s Sweetheart menu for the holiday. The menu includes Maine Lobster Bisque or Caesar salad for an appetizer. Prime Rib, Grilled Salmon Oscar and Italian Shrimp Portofino are the main entrée choices. A flaming milk chocolate fondue with fresh strawberries finishes out the meal. The Palms, 6925 Shallowford Road, will have seating available at 5:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Valentine’s Day. Call 423-499-5055 for reservations.
Aris Harbor Light Restaurant and Lounge, at 9718 Hixson Pike, has a Dinner for Two special. Choose from 10 entrees with two sides for only 19.95 for the couple. Aris’ will be open from 11:00am to 9:00pm on Tuesday, Valentine’s Day. For additional information, call 423-843-2800.
For the couple who loves a little spice in their meals, Abuelo’s has a Dinner for Two through February 15, 2012. Couples will have their choice of fajitas for two ($29.99). The choices include traditional favorites such as steak fajita or bacon-wrapped shrimp, pork tenderloin and tilapia. Abeulo’s is located on the perimeter of Hamilton Place Mall and is opened from 11:00am to 9:00pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Reservations are suggested for the Dinner for Two, 423-855-7400.
Countryside Café, 8223 Mahan Gap Road, is sweetening up Valentine’s Day with a “Sweets for your Sweetie” promotion. On Monday and Tuesday, February 13th and 14th, all (not including whole cakes or pies) of Countryside Café’s desserts are buy one, get one free. This popular, southern-style restaurant will be open from 10:30am to 9:00pm on Monday and Tuesday. Call 423-344-8646 for more information.
