Valentine's Day is just around the corner and if you are thinking of how to show your love without breaking the bank, here are a few suggestions. Check your budget and keep in mind that there are lots of fun ways to share a romantic message.

1. Plan a meal together and share the cooking, set the mood with candles on the table and a romantic movie to watch after dinner.

2. Go outdoors with a picnic packed and a bottle of wine. Or explore a new part of town together and take photos to share.

3. Sweets are always great--chocolates and flowers bring out the senses of taste and smell that add to the special occasion.

4. Take in all the blooms at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. They are serving a special Valentine's Day Dinner Service at Anne Marie's Carriage House on Feb. 14th. It features a four course meal for $35 and you get private use of the Gardens for the evening.

If you are looking for another dinner bargain, here is a local deal.

Brio's Tuscan Grille Restaurant at The Shops at La Cantera is having a Valentine's Day Special. You get a $10 bonus card with the purchase of two entrees between Feb. 13-16th and the bonus card is valid till March 2nd. They have a full menu of Italian flavors with a romantic atmosphere. They also have $5 Martini Wednesdays and $5 Wine Thursday. Enjoy.
