Valentine's day (romance out)

As Valentine's Day approaches, some people are having onging thoughts in the pursuit of finalizing Valentine's Day plans.

"Heart Day" falls on a weekend and thus the high probability of increased wait times at restaurants. Will you be prepared to face the sea of other couples ahead of you at Amerigo's (especially if you do not have reservations)?

What if you tweaked your Valentine's Day plans this year to contribute to a worthy cause while enjoying a romantic night out with your valentine?

The Cure Sickle Cell Foundation is hosting a wine tasting on February 14 at the Mississippi Arts Center at 6:30 p.m. In addition to live jazz music, the event will feature a variety of wines for tasting, hors d'oeuvres, a museum tour, and a silent auction. A photographer will also be present to capture your Valentine's Day memory for a keepsake.  Tickets are $25 per person. Call 601-853-3402 for tickets and more information.

For a different spin on your "romance out" plans, consider  choosing to support a worthy cause over enduring the 60 minute wait for a table.
