Another Valentine's Day... what to do? what to do?

Or maybe this is your first Valentine? and you need something extra-special.

You're sure to impress with a gift - or dinner - (or both!) in downtown and lowertown Paducah. For example, you can make reservations (do, if you're planning to come here on Valentine's Day!) at any one of the Main Street Member Restaurants, including Cynthia's Ristorante' and Toucans.  Or, head to the Kentucky Oaks Mall area to eat at Paducah's premier Thai restaurant, Jasmine.

You can spend a lot, or spend a little, to find that perfect gift. Perhaps you should try one of the many art galleries? Maybe BeBe's Artisan Market, at  107 S. Second St., or Lela's Boutique, 220 Broadway, will have what you are looking for. Of course, you can never go wrong with sweets, and if that is what you need, head over to The Chocolate Factory, at 109 S. Second St., and you're sure to find just the right delicacy.

Don't forget the flowers! In the main street area of Paducah, you can stop in at inBloom Floral & Market Place, 600 Broadway, or Rose Garden Florist, 805 Broadway. There is also a lovely new shop, My Florist, at the Jordan's Crossing Center, 451 Jordan Dr #L. In Metropolis, you'll find things of beauty at the local go-to for flowers, Creations, 600 Ferry St.

Also, in Metropolis, you can visit The Skin Shoppe, located at 604 Market Street, just down the road from Superman. Here you can buy gifts from their organic and natural skin-care selection, purses and shopping bags made from recycled materials, and locally made jewelry. The super-spoil-me gifts from The Skin Shoppe are their forte - spa treatments, including massage, stone therapy, detoxing and purifying body masks, facials, and more. Call (618) 524-1300 for an appointment or for details on purchasing gift cards.

Finally, how about some entertainment? Catch a flick at Maiden Alley Cinema or Cinemark Theater. Or watch God's Favorite, a Niel Simon play featured at Market House Theater.
