Chocolate, romance and Valentine’s Day just seem to go hand in hand. After all, what would this special day be without a kiss? If the kiss were a chocolate one, well, that’s even better. Surprise your significant other, child or friend with a batch of these delectable cookies that have a chocolate kiss tucked inside.
A rich, buttery dough, accented with vanilla, envelopes those luscious milk chocolate candies. Similar to Mexican wedding cakes or sand tarts, the dough does not contain eggs. The large amount of butter serves as the only binder. The dough feels somewhat like wet sand, but molds easily around the chocolate. The slight crunch of pecans and a roll in powdered sugar make these delights even more irresistible.
For all of those caramel lovers out there, Reasor’s carries Hershey’s chocolate kisses that are filled with soft, gooey caramel. They would be delicious in these cookies too.
