Valentine’s Day inspires with cinematic love stories and passionate styles (Photos)

Whether a romance for years or a couple just celebrating the first February 14 together, the question of what to give, do and wear is a common mystery this time of year. In Style, ABC News and Styled On help take some of the guesswork out of creating memorable Valentine’s Day moments with their respective gift guides for family, flings and longtime loves.

According to the Huffington Post and Lucky magazine, On Valentine's Day, many women try to look sexy, sophisticated, glamorous and demure, all at the same time. One Actress adds, “when it comes to Valentine’s Day, I love to keep my look feminine and fresh with a touch of edge. Whether it’s pairing leather and lace or shimmery separates offset by tough details, I am a firm believer in wearing a look that is both relaxed and playful” Victoria’s Secret model Lais Ribeiro and makeup artist Polly Osmond suggest gorgeous eyes, pretty in pink blush and lush lips for finishing touches while, Vogue, Agent Provocateur and Fredericks of Hollywood review the latest in lingerie trends including The Hollywood Dream Corset, daring, decadent special occasion lingerie and the little black or red lace dress.

While many couples celebrate with grand gestures including romantic getaways, surprise engagements or renewing marriage vows, other twosomes find creative ways to keep the home fires burning including getting a couples' massage, recreating the first date, taking a cooking class, having a sexy game night, listening to live music, visiting a botanical garden or taking a dance class. If film is a passion consider The American Film Institute’s count down of the 100 greatest love stories and Oscar winning romances including Casablanca, Titanic, Gone with the Wind, Love Story, It Happened one Night, West Side Story, Shakespeare in Love and Out of Africa. Finally, in honor of Valentine's Day, In Style highlights the 25 most memorable cinematic embraces: including Spiderman, Twilight, From Here to Eternity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Notebook: upside down, on the beach, and in the pouring rain.
