With Valentine’s Day falling on a Thursday this year, The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte will offer a sweet array of Valentine’s activities to take place throughout the February 14th-to-17th weekend. From an irresistible selection of Bar Cocoa Valentine’s confections, cupcakes and French macarons to a new three-course dessert and sparkling wine dinner called “First Date,” The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte will feature the following this Valentine’s season:
Valentine’s Overnight Luxury Package:

This perfect couple's experience is presented complete with luxury accommodations, in-room chocolate truffles from Bar Cocoa and in-room Champagne. The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte Valentine’s Package is offered throughout the February 14-17 weekend and also includes overnight parking.
Bar Cocoa Temptations:
Bar Cocoa will celebrate the month of Saint Valentine with a new selection of Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcakes, Strawberry Macarons and five special Norman Love chocolates and confections, romantically named Wild Love, Sweet Love, Dreamy Love, Cookie Kiss and Peachy Keen Kiss. Bar Cocoa Valentine’s desserts and confections will be offered beginning January 31, as will Bar Cocoa’s new Bar Gelato offering, to be introduced in flavors of Tiramisu, Chocolate Hazelnut, Pistachio, Salted Peanut and rich Vanilla.
Urban Sip Wine and Jazz:
Now providing live jazz on Friday and Saturday evenings, the 15th-floor Urban Sip wine, scotch, spirits and tapas bar will also offer live jazz on Thursday evening, February 14. On this same celebratory weekend, Urban Sip will introduce its new First Date three-course all-dessert sweets and sparkling wine dinner. Available both at Urban Sip and at Bar Cocoa and priced at $75 per person, First Date will feature paired courses of Strawberry Sabayon served with Lamberti Rosé, Prosecco; Warm Chocolate Cake, White Chocolate Ice Cream and Raspberry Coulis served with Banfi Rosa Regale; and Spiced Cranberry Clafouti presented with Veuve Clicquot Rosé. Urban Sip will further celebrate Valentine’s Weekend with a new offering of Desserts for Two, including Chocolate Fondue and Chocolate Tasting Plates, and with a Champagne Menu featuring Krug Rosé, Dom Ruinart, Dom Pérignon and Veuve Clicquot.
Cocoa Lab Cooking Classes:
In addition to its year-round roster of dessert cooking classes, Bar Cocoa’s Cocoa Lab kitchen will offer a Chocolate and Champagne-Lovers Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on February 16. The ultimate in dessert classes, this session will allow students to combine freshly-made sweets with paired Champagnes, creating a taste sensation like no other. The menu will include Caramelized Lemon Chiboust with Fresh Berries and Consommé, Chocolate Soufflé with White Chocolate Soup, and Strawberry Sabayon. Priced at $75 per person, the class is open to the public.
The Spa & Wellness Center:
The Spa & Wellness Center will present a delectable menu of Valentine’s spa treatments for the month of February. From a rich and romantic Rose and Chocolate Facial to a hydrating Mimosa Champagne Sugar Scrub or Sweet Cheeks Facial – perfect for winter skin, the month will honor the season of love. Spa guests will enjoy complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries with any Valentine’s treatment, and when pairing a facial and body treatment in February, they will also receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. The special February offering is presented Monday through Thursday throughout the month.
