Valentine's Day crafts for kids at St. Charles library

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and though you may buy boxes of character-themed Valentine's for your kids to hand out to their friends, purchasing an individual Hallmark card for grandma and every aunt, cousin or teacher may not be in the budget.  So, when your kids want to give cards to everyone, it's time to start thinking about arts and crafts.

Luckily for you, arts and crafts don't have to mean a big mess for you to clean up afterwards because the St. Charles County Library is hosting a Valentine's Day Make-It Station.  Throughout the day on Saturday, February 11, 2012, kids and their parents can drop by the Deer Run Branch and make a card for that someone special in their lives.

So, what's your kids' style?  Will he cut out a simple heart and sprinkle on some glitter or will she layer colored paper or cut out her own lace-like designs?  Children are free to use their imaginations while using the St. Charles County Library's supplies.  Any preschool or school age child can participate, but the library does ask that children under 5 not be left unattended.
