Tips for making great chocolate covered strawberries:
- After you wash the berries, make sure they are completely dry before you dip them in chocolate.
- Eight ounces of chocolate will cover about 12-14 medium-large strawberries.
- Finely chopped chocolate or chocolate chips take about 1 minute and 30 seconds to melt when your microwave is set to medium. Stir the chocolate and continue melting in 15 second increments if it's not completely melted on the first try.
- Ina Garten's Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - The Barefoot Contessa uses heavy cream and semi-sweet chocolate chips to coat long-stemmed strawberries.
