Valentine’s Day Butter Cookies

See also

These cookies are one of my favorite. I've even shaped the dough in the form of people’s initials for special occasions. They make a great dessert anytime.

What You Need:

(Makes: 18-19 dozen or 108-114 servings)

2 cups of butter, softened

2 cups of sugar

3 eggs

1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

6 cups of all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons of baking powder

Red colored sugar, optional

What to Do:

STEP 1) In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.

STEP 2) Shape with a cookie press. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Decorate with sugar if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are light brown.

STEP 3) Happy Valentine’s Day & Enjoy!
