These crafted bookmarks can help celebrate Valentine’s Day, as well as to help to encourage a love of reading. These can be made in a variety of colors and can also be given out as party favors.
To make these bookmarks, the following craft supplies will be needed:
• At least one sheet of foam (more if a variety of colors are desired)
• Craft sticks (These are available in colored or plain varieties. The sticks may also be painted in advance.)
• Scissors
• Glue
• A pair of google eyes
• Pen or fine tip marker
To make this craft:
1. Cut out a small foam heart (or use the leftover hearts from the heart flag project from yesterday’s article).
2. Carefully glue a pair of google eyes onto the heart.
3. Draw a smile to complete the face on the heart.
4. Glue heart to the craft stick.
6. Let dry for about an hour.
