There’s a lot of pressure on Valentine’s Day to look your best for your big date. But Mickey Williams, make-up artist to the stars, says not to worry. She has a few foolproof beauty tips to help you look gorgeous and feel confident on Valentine’s Day, whether you go out to dinner with the one you love or out on the town with your best friend.
For starters, with everyone being so busy these days, Mickey realizes that you may not have time to go all out when it comes to make-up. She says if you’re pressed for time, just stick to perfecting your pout for Valentine’s Day. “A bold red or hot pink lipstick is always appropriate and makes a sexy statement for Valentine’s Day,” claims Mickey.
But, she says, if you plan to focus on your mouth, don’t forget about your teeth. “Red lipsticks can often make your teeth look grey,” explains Mickey. “I like to use Rembrandt® Deeply White Two-Hour Whitening Kit. It’s comfy, molds to my own teeth, and really amps up my smile.”
Mickey is also aware that you may want to show a little extra skin on Valentine’s Day. So she recommends Vaseline® Total Moisture so you can show-off your sexy shoulders or shapely legs on the 14th. “Apply it right out of the shower when skin is still damp so it will absorb more,” she advises. “It’s super lightweight and it won’t interfere with your perfume.”
The greatest advice Mickey can offer with regard to feeling beautiful on Valentine’s Day is to love and take care of yourself first. “If you want to stay in, stay in! Don’t feel badly about it. Do things to make you feel pretty like a bubble bath or self-facial. Or ask one of your girlfriends to be your date and just go out and have fun.”
Now that’s some beautiful advice.
