Many say that Valentine’s Day is for the lovers, but it can be just as fun for single people too. Los Angeles is full of fun things for people free from the chains of a partner.

Birds Hollywood has been a Los Angeles landmark since it opened in 1994 and has been hosting special anti-Valentine’s Day events for over 18 years. For Valentine’s Day, Birds Hollywood is hosting an Anti-Valentine’s Day Party for singles. Prizes will be given for the best being dumped story. There will also be voodoo doll therapy session for those with some anger to get out. The music for the night will be full of great breakup songs. Admission is free to this fun filled night.

The Other Door Bar will be hosting My Bitter Valentine this year. Admission is free but guests who dress in all black with will be given a free shot of either Sweet Misery or Bitter Regret. There will be bittersweet cocktails and angry desserts for guests to enjoy. The Other Door Bar’s My Bitter Valentine event if fun for singles and unhappy couples.

If going out isn’t in the cards, try hosting an Anti-Valentine’s Day Party. Getting a group of single friends together to hang out and enjoy anti-couple things like horror movies, or foods with lots of garlic can be a ton of fun. Decorations can include broken hearts and skulls.
