Valentine Krispie Treats to make with the kids

Valentine's Day is approaching. Why not get into the spirit of the holiday and make these easy and delicous Valentine Krispie Treats with your kids? Quick prep, no bake and very few ingredients make these delicious treats perfect for anyday.

Ingredients
5 cups Rice Krispies
4 tablespoons butter
10 ounce bag of marshmallows
Milk chocolate chips and white chocolate chips
Heart shape cookie cutter
Sprinkles

Melt butter over low heat in a large saucepan. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and combined.

Remove from heat and add Rice Krispies. Stir to combine.

Pour kripie mixture into a 9x13 pan sprayed with cooking spray.

With a piece of wax paper, gently press mixture down until it evenly coats pan.

Once your krispies have completely cooled and hardened take your heart shape cookie cutter and begin cutting. You will have to press very firmly to cut through the entire mixture. Gently place each heart on waxed paper.

Place your chocolate chips in two seperate sauce pans and melt over low heat stirring constantly. Remove from heat immediatly once chocolate is melted being careful not to let it burn.

If you wish at this point add a few drops of red food coloring to the melted white chocolate to turn it pink.

Next take your hearts and dip them into the chocolate. Place on wax paper and sprinkle with candies if desired. Let cool completley and enjoy!

Cover in an air tight container if there are any left.
