There is no marriage more perfect than that of chocolate and Valentine’s Day. So why not take your valentine on a Dallas by Chocolate tour to sample the richest, most unique, and skillfully-made chocolate in the metroplex?
Tour buses are full of snuggly seats, chocolate trivia and fascinating factoids and water and wine served to guests as they travel to four different chocolate locales. For about 3 to 3 1/2 hours, taste tourists will be enticed to "savor chocolate as much as we do,” says owner and founder, Jeanine Stevens. Stevens, a humorous ad writer by day entertains throughout the trip along with her co-guide, Steven Doyle, publisher of CraveDFW.com.
Each stop promises mouthfuls of samples from chocolate truffles to coffee fudge to chocolate pairings. Stops range from the luxurious CocoAndré Chocolatier, the experimental and delectable Dude, Sweet Chocolate. As Dallas By Chocolate's founders enjoy keeping their tours fresh and different, the same tour may offer different stops each time. Other delicious possibilities on the tour include time at Great One Cookie Company; and Zaguan Latin Café and Bakery. If you just so happen to fall in love with something you sample, there is time to buy some for yourself to enjoy at home.
Valentine’s Chocolate Tours are available on January 19, 20, 26, and 27th as well as February 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 12 , 13 , 15, 16, and 17th, starting at $30 per person and can be reserved online.
