Valentine canine Basset Hounds tie the nuptial knot in Las Vegas

Love was in the air for a pair of four-legged, furry friends on Valentine's Day, and the Doggie District Pet Resort in Henderson hosted the nuptials for two Basset Hounds - Maggie and Bandit. Officiated by Austin Lewis, the owner and Elvis impersonator of Doggie District, the noon time ceremony was open to both canine and human guests.

In conjunction with the Las Vegas Basset Hound Rescue, the lovely bride wore a demure white veil. The full-figured Maggie happily waddled up to her handsome groom, and both pooches according to ktnv.com, exchanged vows promising to "honor each other's toys" and never "steal each other's bones and bury them in the backyard."

Collar rings were exchanged, and a wedding cake in the shape of a dog bone was enjoyed by guests.

The Las Vegas Basset Hound Rescue is a non profit organization dedicated to rescuing Basset Hounds and helping them find new homes. Both Lucy and Bandit are bonded and would love to live together. They were previously surrendered by their owner who could no longer afford to care for the dogs. Both Lucy and Bandit love car rides, walks in the park, and would make wonderful companions.
