On Monday, Mike Dickinson, the Virginia Democrat seeking the House seat currently held by Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., promised on Twitter that if he wins in November, he would use his position in Congress to wage "war" against those with whom he disagrees, including the NRA, the Tea Party and Fox News.
"If elected I promise WAR on the tea party, @FoxNews, @NRA and other trash," he tweeted.
"When I am elected I will go to war with these groups. I will pursue the @nra & destroy them. I will get the IRS to audit the tea party," he said later, apparently oblivious to the current scandal involving IRS targeting of conservative groups.
His pronouncement did not go over well with others.
"[G]ood luck buddy," one person said.
"Anyone ever told you you're an idiot?" another person asked.
"Wow already tweeting about how you will ILLEGALLY target groups who don't share your beliefs. More proof that you're an idiot," tweeted "Joy Absalon."
Recently, Dickinson caused a stir when he called supporters of the NRA "pure trash."
Acting more like an unhinged Internet troll than a candidate for office, Dickinson then called the Tea Party a terrorist group and suggested a critic throw himself out a window..
Dickinson regularly trashes conservatives and Christians on Twitter in what is apparently an effort to attract his far-left wing base.
He first got noticed when he claimed Fox News lies and suggested the FCC monitor and regulate the network.
Dickinson, however, was never able to produce a single shred of evidence when he appeared on the network, mumbling about how hosts at Fox News use the term "Obamacare," a term the president has also used.
The Virginia Democrat, however, has stonewalled questions regarding allegations he has engaged in salacious activities online using alternate Twitter accounts.
