I have many memories of dining at The Old Spaghetti Factory as a kid - the red booths, heaping piles of pasta, and of course, topping off the evening with spumoni for dessert. A restaurant with the name "The Old Spaghetti Factory" may seem like the entire place is made of gluten, but in this case, that couldn't be farther from the truth. Yes, The Old Spaghetti Factory has a gluten-free menu so you can enjoy your heaping piles of pasta along with everyone else.
The gluten-free menu is simple. For an appetizer, stick with their house salad (minus the croutons) with a creamy pesto or balsamic vinagrette as dressing. For entrees - it's rice fettucine pasta with your choice of sauce; marinara, meat, mushroom, and mizithra cheese with brown butter.
Not feeling like pasta? The Old Spaghetti Factory has a great baked chicken dish that is full in flavor and not in fat. Add an Italian Cream Soda or a glass of wine to make your meal complete. Well, almost complete.
The spumoni is the classic dessert at The Old Spaghetti Factory and is not to be missed. For those of you who don't know, spumoni is Italian ice cream with generally three different flavors and usually consists of fruit and nuts.
So grab your friends and/or family and head to The Old Spaghetti Factory for a homemade Italian meal. Just don't forget the spumoni!
