Now that the Donald Sterling scandal is pretty much over with, V. Stiviano apparently is getting 15 more minutes out of her moment of fame. V. Stiviano, the alleged girlfriend of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling who secretly recorded the racist quotes from Sterling, says she feels bad about what has transpired from the tape recordings she made of him, according to a Los Angeles Times report on Tuesday night. Since the tape recordings became public on Saturday, the NBA has banned Sterling from the NBA and fined him $2.5 million for his racist rant caught on tape.

V. Stiviano’s lawyer = Mac Nehoray of Calabasas - asserts that the woman at the center of the controversy is very saddened by the NBA’s decision to ban Donald Sterling from basketball for life. Word is now that V. Stiviano, who is 31 years of age, did not release the tapes to media. Someone else reportedly released the recordings for money. Therefore, it is now being said that V. Stiviano never wanted any harm to come to Sterling.

Lawyer Nehoray insists that his client – V. Stiviano – is devastated that all of this unraveled for public consumption. Additionally, Nehoray says that Stiviano and Sterling never had a sexual or romantic relationship of any kind. The attorney also denies what has been previously reported about Sterling and Stiviano having had a romantic relationship. He says that assertions about the two having had a sexual relationship are false. Additionally, she says the rumors about her being embroiled in a lawsuit filed by Sterling’s wife are also erroneous.

In summation, attorney McNehoray of Calabass says that the scandal is nothing like it has been portrayed. He also claims that V Stiviano is not the type of person everyone says. Yet, there have been reports that Sterling’s wife – Rochelle Sterling – filed a lawsuit against Stiviano last month in an attempt to reclaim a $1.8-million apartment, luxury autos and cash that Donald Sterling had given her. V. Stiviano was reportedly an archivist for Sterling, according to an Access Hollywood report.

The incident regarding the Clippers owner began Saturday when TMZ obtained a copy of the recorded comments made by Mr. Sterling. In the comments, Sterling said that he didn’t want V. Stiviano going public about hanging around with African-Americans. He went as far as to tell Stiviano not to bring African-Americans to his Clippers basketball games. Following the release of the taped recordings, many persons have denounced Sterling for his racism.
