The purpose of the facility is to create an army of mutant soldiers.
Things get even more complicated when Colonel Briggs, the megalomaniac in charge of Section 51, discovers the fact that Ava is an empath. He decides to use her and her empathic abilities as a central piece in his plan to achieve world domination. The protagonist is now pressured to dispel the shroud of mystery surrounding Ian’s death so that she may get out alive of Section 51, while saving the entire world as well.
Author V. G. Harrison combined very different elements in order to write “Section 51 (Project Solstice).” Several genres – supernatural/paranormal, science-fiction, horror – were mixed and tied together through an engaging narrative thread. This first novel in Harrison’s series is an example of well-written fiction which engages memorable characters, and ends in a breathtaking manner.
