For the past few years, UWM has welcomed new and current students by throwing Pantherfest, the college's largest annual event. After reviewing the schools Pantherfest entertainment survey, more than 11,000 college students casted votes for who they would like to see at the annual bash. Matt and Kim and Mac Miller will headline this Friday's event at the Marcus Amphitheater. Local rapper Pizzle will open the show at 7pm. SXSW and Summerfest veterans, Matt and Kim will follow. Mac Miller, who has sold over 4.5 million singles, will close out the event.
New this year is the Panther Street Festival kicking off the festivities on campus. Food trucks, eurobungy, ziplining, yard games, and a cash cube are some of the attractions. The street festival startsat 3pm at the iconic UWM fountain. After the festival, tickeholders will be able take a free shuttle bus to the Marcus Amphitheater from campus.
UWM students can receive one free Pantherfest ticket. Student tickets are available for pick up in the UWM Union or at the “Ask Me” tents around campus. As of today, faculty and staff can purchase up to two tickets while UWM students can purchase up to two additional tickets for $40 each. UWM alumni can purchase up to two tickets from the Student Union Information Center for $25 each. Tickets are only available to individuals directly affiliated with UWM.
