The wins just keep coming for UTSA Women's Basketball as they won their sixth straight game with a 65-56 win over New Mexico State at the Convocation Center on Sunday night.

Ashley Spaletta was the leader for the Roadrunners as she managed 14 points and seven rebounds, while Kamara King was close behind with 12 points, Akunna Elonu also managed seven rebounds and notched double figures herself with 11 points.

Also of note was a solid cameo appearance from UTSA's Volleyball All-American McKenzie Adams who played her second game for the Roadrunners, but this time saw substantial game time, after just two minutes on debut, she managed 12 minutes and picked up an impressive five rebounds.

Things didn't start well for UTSA with the first seven points all going to New Mexico State as Sasha Weber scored five to start the game for the Aggies.

Elonu was vital as the Roadrunners came back, when she hit seven points as an 18-4 run managed an 18-11 lead with just over 11 minutes to play.

It was a solid first half from Elonu, as she managed nine points, equalling her season high, as UTSA held a 34-30 with Spaletta managing five of her seven rebounds.

It was a tight match, with both sides trading baskets, keeping UTSA in front before a 6-0 run from the Roadrunners pushed their lead out to ten.

UTSA kept pushing and extended the lead out to 15 as Mathilde Hergott managed a three-pointer before two free-throws with an impressive lead with 8:12 to play.

That then lead to an Aggies come back with New Mexico State able to cut the gap to five at 60-55 with just under two minutes to play.

But Kamara King took the lead and helped UTSA restore their lead out to seven points that was too much for the Aggies as UTSA got the win.
