"Utopia's" elimination process was a mystery until Executive Producer Jon Kroll explained it on Sept. 2, 2014.

The Utopians nominate at least two people for elimination. Anybody that receives two or more votes is eligible to leave. The viewers also vote at this point. After the votes are counted, the people up for elimination are in a danger zone and two possible new contestants will arrive and stay for a few days. The Utopians and viewers vote for one of the two newbies. The one who gets to stay decides which one of the nominated existing Utopians is eliminated. The eliminations don't happen every week, more like once a month.

There were a few close calls for eliminations and they have only been in "Utopia" for 5 days. Josh Johnston drank way too much on the first night and was almost sent home for it. They had a vote and allowed Josh to stay if he stopped drinking. Hex Vanisles was rushed to the hospital after a night of heavy drinking and dehydration. She returned to "Utopia five hours later. Red Vanwinkle threatened to leave a couple of times yesterday, but did not go through with it. Almost everyone has been fighting with Bella Chartrand. She threatened to leave, but quickly talked herself out of it. There was also a 15th cast member, Andrea Cox, that did not even make it to "Utopia" because she tried to smuggle in a cell phone.

FOX has scheduled "Utopia" to air on Tuesdays and Fridays. The network also live streams the show online like "Big Brother." "Utopia" starts Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, on FOX channel WAWS 30 in Jacksonville. The show began filming and is airing live for free here.
