There is a lot going on in Utica lately. Who said the economy was slow?
First, Apple Crumbles won the California Raisin Bread Contest for the 26.2 Mini Loaf (previously named, Marathon Mini Loaf). It's a healthy scone type baked good geared towards the athlete's pre-workout food preferences. The mini loaf is 100% whole wheat flour, rolled oats, natural peanut butter, California raisins, with a little bit of brown sugar and salt. All the runner/athlete needs to fuel those endurance workouts.
Second, Utica offers a comfy cozy gourmet restaurant lounge called Pier's and Blake down by the bus station in the old Doyle building. The restaurant boasts "The Best Cocktails and Food in Central New York". AND...
right across the street is a new sports bar called "The Cage".
Located in the heart of historic Bagg’s Square, The Cage Ultimate Sports Bar is the place to be for every big sporting event, SportsCenter lunch buffet, kick ass happy hours, and the place to meet with friends.
We're not done yet! The Nail Creek Pub & Brewery lives true to it's name and introduces it's first micro brews. Word has it these delightful new brews are going into competition. They are THAT good. The Belgian Double has hints of banana bread! Are there any mouths watering yet?
Utica is a happening town. We're very entrepreneurial and we're keeping pace with the big cities. For some healthy running food, great restaurants and sports bars, plus terrific locally brewed ales, come on and visit.
