A Utah trucker is facing federal charges of having kept sex slaves in his semitrailer for months at a time, according to a Time report on Thursday. The Utah trucker, 54-year-old Timothy Jay Vafeades has been charged with the kidnapping of a 19-year-old female relative. That incident occurred last May, and Vafeades is accused of having sexually abused her hundreds of times as he drove across the country.

On Nov. 26, 2013, Vafeades was arrested in Clay County, Minnesota by an officer who realized the young lady had a restraining order against the trucker.

Another woman, an adult woman, has stepped forward and said that Vafeades also held her against her will for a period of three months after she had met him at a truck stop in Salt Lake City. The woman said she met the truck driver in 2012.

Besides being charged with kidnapping and transportation for illegal sexual activity, Vafeades has been charged with possession of child pornography.
