Utah legislature denies global climate change

This joint resolution of the Legislature urges the United States Environmental Protection Agency to cease its carbon dioxide reduction policies, programs, and regulations until climate data and global warming science are substantiated.

Read the whole resolution, and you will notice several strikethroughs (two strikethroughs of the word conspiracy) and bolded, italicized and underlined words that make this less a resolution than a rant. "Gravy train" is crossed out. So is the word "tricks."

Boy is this desperate. It goes without saying that this won't pass. But it says something that legislators think it's perfectly fine to make light of their duties by attempting to legislate conspiracy theories into law.
