Utah Jazz: Season ticket holder giveaway waffles its way into weekend road trip

According to a Salt Lake Tribune report on Wednesday, Utah Jazz season ticket holders will have reason to cheer at the Energy Solutions Arena on Saturday, even though their team will be in Los Angeles.

The organization will be handing out Jazz waffle irons to all season ticket holders at its Fan Relations Office on Saturday, Feb. 23, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Twitter user—and presumably Jazz fan—@Utah_JazzNation has obtained a picture of the waffle iron.

If you’re the type of eater who likes to consume bready breakfast food that’s cooked in the shape of the team’s logo, then this is the gift for you!

USA Today’s Chris Strauss also reported on the Jazz promotion—which, when you come to think about it, is probably covered in the price of the season tickets—adding a few items he’d like to see other NBA teams give away.

Before you go to bed early on Friday night so you can get to ESA ahead of the waffle iron crowd, you might want to consider there are apparently some stipulations on the giveaway.

In the picture shared by @Utah_JazzNation, you’ll notice there is a pair of asterisks that seem to indicate there are conditions that must be met in order to get the privilege of cooking Jazz-imprinted waffles.

Preliminary research failed to unveil said conditions.

If you’re a season ticket holder and will not be one of the waffle iron-crazed faithful on hand Saturday morning, do not despair. The team still values your dollars and continued loyalty.

Utah has won three in a row, including a 115-101 victory over visiting Golden State on Tuesday night.

The Jazz (31-24), are off until Saturday, when the team takes on Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers (39-17) at Staples Center at 8:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
