Utah Jazz lose to the depleted Knicks 90-83

The New York Knicks were without Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudamire and Tyson Chandler. The Utah Jazz have a strong home record. It was a game the Jazz should have won.

J.R. Smith had 20 points and Raymond Felton had 19 in a sloppy victory of 90-83.

Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 17 points as well as 4 blocks. Paul Millsap had 12, and Marvin Williams and Al Jefferson contributed 10 apiece.

The Jazz looked out of sorts all night. Too many times, they'd bring the ball down court, pass once around the top, then shoot a 20-foot jumpshot. On defense, they made Chris Copeland look like a starter. It was a closely contested game all night until the final 3:37 when the Jazz missed 9 of their final 10 shots.

The Jazz are currently in 9th place in the Western Conference, on the outside of the playoffs looking in.
