Utah couple rob Tooele bank with young children in getaway car

Husband and wife teams of bank robbers are nothing new to the United States. What makes the exploits of William and Michelle Parker unique? The duo robbed a bank while leaving their two small children in the car.

William and Michelle Parker robbed the Wells Fargo bank in Tooele, Utah, on March 11. The duo entered the bank, leaving their children in the car. The children, age two and five, were unaware of their parents intentions.

A Tooele police officer who noticed the couple, however, felt the Parker's were acting suspicious. Without knowledge of the bank robbery, the officer stopped the Parker's vehicle after it left the bank.

When the word came across the radio of the bank robbery, the officer on the scene called for backup. William and Michelle, both 27, were arrested and charged with bank robbery.

The pair managed to obtain only $956 from the bank before fleeing and subsequently being caught.
