Salt Lake City Community College is a leading education institution in the USA and in the world. The New Media Center has been just opened as a top academic facility in the world. The President's art show invites all Utah artists to submit works to a jury from SLCC to celebrate the new media center. The Annual exhibit if SLCC proves that the quality, originality, high technique and professionalism are among the leading criteria of the SLCC jury for art exhibits.
The President’s Art Show is a juried exhibition sponsored by Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). Entries are open to all Utah artists. A wide range of professional and amateur artists will be represented from across the state featuring a variety of mediums.
The 2013 Salt Lake Community College President’s Art Show will take place in conjunction with the opening of the new Center for Arts and Media at the SLCC South City Campus, 1575 South State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. The exhibit opens with a launch reception of the Center for Arts and Media on November 7 and will run through November 12.
November 7th at 5:00 pm is the Reception and Awards Ceremony:
President's Award: $1,000; Best In Show: $1,000; 2nd Runner Up: $500; 3rd Runner Up: $500
General: $25 to enter; SLCC Faculty/Staff/Students: $10 to enter
Artwork may be priced and sold during the exhibition period, with artists receiving 75% of the sale price.
All submissions must be received by OCTOBER 18; Jurying of art will begin OCTOBER 19 – 23; Accepted artists will be notified OCTOBER 24.
