A Utah 13-year-old girl is missing and the grueling search for her is now underway. According to police, hundreds of volunteers showed up to help find the missing Utah 13-year-old on Tuesday, Fox News reports.
Police and volunteers met up to get directions as to where to search for 13-year-old Brooklyn Gittins. Reportedly, family members of the girl were the last people to see her before she vanished on Tuesday night.
They say the last time they say her was in her bedroom. When police arrived on the scene for their investigation, they saw no signs of a forced entry. Authorities believe the child may have ran way because she has ran away before.
Authorities have contacted her known friends, but so far there is no sign of her. Police consider her to be in danger, because she left without shoes, a coat or her glasses. Her relatives are pleading for any leads in the case. Craig Hiller, the girl's grandfather, told the press,
“Brooklyn, if you’re listening, please come home. We want you back Brooklyn. We need you to come home. We’re not mad, nothing will happen,”
