US Soccer announced today that the USSF Division-2 Pro League kicks off this weekend with eight teams in action! The USSF Division-2 Pro League is made up of teams from the United Socer Leagues First Division and the North American Soccer League.
The USSF stepped in to oversee the Division 2 Pro League when teams from the United Soccer Leagues First Division broke away from the United Soccer Leagues over differences in ownership and league management decisions.
The 2010 season kicks off this Saturday, Apirl 10th, as the Carolina Railhawks host AC St. Louis at 7pm EST and the Rochester Rhinos head to Ft. Lauderdale to take on Miami FC at 7:30pm EST.
On Sunday, the Austin Aztex welcom the Montreal Impact to Austin, Tx at 7pm EST, while the NSC Minnesota Stars head to British Columbia to take on the Vancouver Whitecaps, also at 7pm EST.
US Soccer also announced a partnership with Ooyala, a leading provider of end-to-end video platform applications and services, to make all 180 matches available via video streaming free of charge. Live match video will be broadcast via each club's website, allowing fans to watch every match at no cost.

The Division 2 Pro League is the second tier of soccer in the United States behind Major League Soccer, MLS. The Dayton Dutch Lions will be competing in the United Soccer League's Premier Development League, PDL. The Dutch Lion's season kicks off on May 8th at home against the Cincinnati Kings.
