Wondering if the post office is open or closed on Memorial Day 2011? Here's a list of ten (10) 2011 Postal Holidays as stated by the USPS.com website that Rhode Island residents and employees will want to know.
Thankfully, the United States Postal Service has dates and information for 2011 that is helpful to know regarding post office holidays.
No Mail Delivery in Rhode Island on Postal Holidays
Depending on your job and employer, most everyone, including Rhode Islanders, have these federal and state holidays off. It can get confusing depending on which state you live in, and whether or not you're adding public holidays on the list as well. For example, many retail employees have to work on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, and Columbus Day.
But, if you happen to be one of the lucky employees, you'll have all 10 federal holidays off just like the post offices in the Providence, Rhode Island area. Either way, the United States Postal Service is closed, and does not deliver mail on the following holidays.
