Fans and Twitter followers of R&B sensation, Usher, are anxiously awaiting the reveal of the "second round of cities" to be included on his 2014 World Tour. Billboard broke the news on Tuesday Aug 26 that Usher is indeed gearing up for not just the release of his highly anticipated album, but also for his "UR The Experience Tour' coming this year.
The big Twitter reveal began on Aug 24 with this tweet from Usher:
#TEAMUSHER!! Starting tomorrow RETWEET TO UNLOCK exclusive info. about my upcoming #URXTOUR...
As promised, the very next day Usher and his team tweeted that if fans wanted to know what cities were to be included on his tour they had "retweet" the post. Once it reached 1000 retweets then and only then would he reveal the first round of cities on the URXTOUR. Fans and twitter followers graciously obliged in the request and 1000 retweets later, nine cities were revealed on tour.
Included on the first round list are, Seattle, Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago and Dallas. Also, New Orleans, Orlando, Atlantic City and New York. As Usher's most recent tweet explains;
#TEAMUSHER RETWEET TO UNLOCK #URXTOUR cities!! At 1,000 RT's I'll drop the 2nd round on the map...
The retweets were a little over 650 and will more than likely reach the desired 1000 within hours.
Also released as promotion use for the upcoming tour was a 30 second promo which shows Usher training hard by running, jumping rope, push ups and some old fashioned old school Usher dance moves. On Sunday, Aug 23, viewers of the MTV VMAs were given a chance to witness some of those incredible dance moves as Usher performed live, alongside rapper Nicki Minaj, one of his latest single off of the upcoming album, "She Came to Give it to You." And give it to us is exactly what he did.
In addition to the tour being titled "The UR Experience," Billboard reports that the title of his upcoming eighth studio album is also rumored to be titled "UR."
Until a city near you is revealed for the tour, enjoy the promo and the encore airings of the MTV VMAs of his performance.
