R&B veterans Usher and R. Kelly will be releasing new albums this year ! Confirmed amidst other projects, including collaborations with T.I. and the 'Sparkle' remake, sources revealed the "Same Girl" collaborators will have new music out this Spring, Friday.
Following an appearance on The X Factor USA season finale in December and a partnership with Carnival for a "Love Letter Cruise," R. Kelly is slated to release an album this March.
Titled "Write Me Back," the album is a follow up to Kelly's celebrated "Love Letter" featuring the single "When A Woman Loves". According to HDD, "Write Me Back" may be in stores March 27.
While details surrounding "Write Me Back" have not been made available, as of yet, the timing seems apt with Kelly slated to release the anticipated memior "Soula Coasta: The Diary of Me".
Even though he has been relatively mum about his follow up to "Raymond V. Raymond," baring an interview in which he said he was working on creating "revolutionary pop," Usher is also readying an album sources say could be in stores late-Spring.
With Rico Love already linked to the project, Usher's seventh studio album is due in the second quarter (Apr.-June) following hits like "There Goes My Baby" and "OMG". Usher is also set to appear on T.I.'s forthcoming album, "Trouble Man".
In terms of R&B music, 2012 sounds all the more promising with these two lined up to release albums. They join previously announced releases to come from Monica, Brandy, and Tank. As always, things can and often do change. All release information is subject to change.
