While Usher says "don't call it a comeback, I've been doing this 18 years," the "Confessions" and "Raymond V. Raymond" star has a lot ot celebrate with two 2010 American Music Awards, making him a leading winner along with Justin Bieber and Eminem.
The "DJ Got Us Falling In Love" and "OMG" singer won two awards, dominating the Soul/R&B categories during Sunday's presentation of the American Music Awards (AMA) topping acts like Alicia Keys, Sade, Trey Songz and Chris Brown. (see list of winners below)
While Usher's win for Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist is admirable, it was the crooners win for Favorite Soul/R&B Album that stands out, following a tough bout with his last album, "Here I Stand" (2008). Despite his wins, Usher thanked fellow R&B acts, including Trey Songz and Ne-Yo. He also thanked Chris Brown.
Tying with Usher, Eminem dominated the Hip Hop/Rap categories Sunday, earning awards for Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Music Male and Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Album.
Justin Bieber, however, topped all winning a strong four awards for his efforts, including "My World 2.0".
Thanking fans, his mother, Usher and Michael Jackson during the coarse of the night with two acceptance speeches, Bieber walked away with Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album, and the T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award.
Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Shakira, Brad Paisley, Muse and more also picked up awards. (see winners list below)
