Usher has directly addressed the issue of Bieber having allegedly made racist comments in the past reports HipHop on June 6, 2014. Usher has said that he does not turn his head with feelings of shame on Bieber and that he's in it with him.
Usher mentored Bieber when he first entered the music industry as a teenager. He has directly addressed controversial video clips which have surfaced which show Bieber using the n-word and making racist remarks earlier in life. Usher has commented these things are all part of the process of growing up in life. He's standing by Bieber now and feels as an adult he should manage his own life and deal with this controversy in a mature manner.

Usher appears to be a good judge of character who has been right to stand by his friend Bieber at this difficult time in his life. Bieber himself appears to have been a victim of chaotic times and he seems to have matured enough to survive all of the controversy which has developed around him.
